Ford Taurus With an Idle Problem

A short note to share an experience with my 93 3ltr. Ford Taurus. I started to notice that when I was stopping for a light etc. the car seemed to be lurching. When I got stopped the car idled fine as long as it was in gear. If I put the car in neutral the engine varied approx 300 rpm. After checking for engine codes (none) and digging a little deeper into the manual for idle control information I found that the air bypass solenoid wasn't working smoothly. A squirt of carburetor cleaner into the solenoid ports and I have had no problem since.
